Salat Preparation: Step-by-Step Guide
Namaz (prayer; Plural salah or “salat “) is one of the five pillars of Islam. According to prophet muhammad (pbuh), it is obligatory for all adult muslims (who have reached puberty) to complete five namaz daily, and children over ten years of age should be strictly required.
It is believed that contacts with Allah play an important role in strengthening the faith of the believer. Muslims think that Allah speaks to us through the qur ‘an and the advice to answer Allah is our source no matter how Muslim you pray or if you’re just curious about what you’re looking for to know yourself, it’s too early to start ever.
Salah is not intended to be implemented only as a mandatory. Rather, it is the first and ongoing sign of obedience to the believer to Allah almighty.

Types Of Salah
There are four different types of namaz /prayer that make up five daily prayers.
- Fardh (missing a Fardh namaz/salah is considered a serious sin) imperative.
- Wajib / Obligatory (disappearance is considered a sin, not just as big as farah salah).
- Sunnah There are two types, one rasoolullah regularly known as mu’akkadah and one prophet sometimes prayed, ghair mu’akkadah.
- Nafil / volunteer This table summarizes the number of rituals for each prayer.
These should be memorized so that you know how many rak ‘ahs you will need to pray. A rak ‘ah can be seen as a single unit or cycle of prayer.
Preparing For Prayer
Make sure that the area selected for namaz/prayer is clean and free from impurities. This includes your body, your clothes and your place of namaz/prayer.
Perform Wudu
Do wudu well. You must be purely pure before you start praying. Read here How to perform wudu?. If you are not, you must perform ablution (ablution) before doing it. If since your last namaz/prayer, you have urinated, defeated, passed gas, seduced excessive, passed madhi (urethral fluid) or slept deeply, you need to perform ablution
- If you are praying in a mosque (mosque), which is highly encouraged for men, then other muslims can enter quietly and you do not want to disturb them.
- Many Muslim families have a dedicated area for salah in their home.Spread the mat on the floor if you are not sure to clean the place for prayer. This namaz/prayer is very important for islamic culture.
Perform Ghusal
Perform a bath (full shower) if required. Some conditions will require that you take a bath instead of wudu ‘, before the namaz/prayer, remove the impurities (impurities) and become completely purified. You need to pay for a bath if you want to pray after sex, finish your menstrual period or post-menstrual bleeding, give birth, wet dreams or ejaculate with sexual pleasure.
- To bathe, it is necessary to wash your whole body and hair with water. It is requested to wash 3 times.
- Note that anything that prevents water from touching essential areas of the body when you either perform ablution or bath must be removed, including such things as nail polish, accessories and waterproof mascara.
- If you do not perform ablution or bath when required by the shariah, the prayer will not be valid or accepted.
Perform Tayammum
Perform tayammum (dry purification) if required. If a Muslim is unable to use water, he may choose to perform tamim instead of ablution or bath. This ritual involves the use of clean soil or dirt or natural stone that has not been used before performing a tayammum.
Face the Qibla
Face the qibla This is the direction that all muslims have to turn towards the ka ‘bah in namaz/prayer. The holy mosque in Mecca is the most respected place of worship for muslims all over the world. All muslims face the ka ‘bah five times a day while praying.
- If you are traveling on a plane or plane and fear that the time of namaz/prayer will end before you reach a place where you can determine the direction of the ka ‘bah, then in that case, you can offer prayers without facing the ka ‘bah.
- It is mustahab (recommended) that a person should face the ka ‘bah at least during the ihram, saying “Allah akbar” at the beginning of the namaz/prayer.
Pray At The Proper Time
Namaz/pray at the right time. Five prayers per day are held at very specific times according to one’s geographical location and time of the year. There is a short period of time for everyone, it can be determined by the rise and fall of the sun. Each fardh’s counsel takes about 5 to 10 minutes from the beginning to finish, but should never be quick.
- Try to perform namaz /prayers at the start of the given time, as Allah will appreciate your enthusiasm to pray.
- Five namaz /prayers are fajr, zuhr, asr, maghrib, and isha. They are in the morning, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and nighttime respectively. They are not at the same time every day, because they are at the time of the sun, which changes the way throughout the seasons.
- Each of the five namaz/prayers has a specific number of rak ‘ah (units), as follows: obligatory prayer: – fajr prayer (2 units (rak ‘ah) – zuhr prayer (4 units (rak ‘ah)) – asr prayer (4 units (rak ‘ah)) – maghrib prayer (3 units (rak ‘ah) – isha prayer (4 units (rak ‘ah)).
FAJR
